Today, Dec. 15th all of his friends went to a celebration in memory of Berl (Van) Vanderpool at the First Baptist Church in Pacheco Ca. It was very heartwarming to see all that knew Van arrive. In fact they had to bring in more chairs to accommodate the group.

     Several people got up and told of many heartwarming and some quite funny incidents that happened through the years. So with fond remembrances we said our farewells.

     One thing to remember though it might sound a little crude, the body that Van left was no longer him, but that room full of his friends meant that he was still here, as long as even one of us remember him, Van will remain with us.

     We will miss him & his help with us working on our bikes.
